TALES OF OUR CITIES
TAMALPAIS UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT
-
Corte Madera Many residents say the best thing about this town is the down-to-earth, real world people and families who live here.
-
Larkspur varies greatly by neighborhood. There are numerous large hillside homes in the Madrone Canyon neioghborhoods. With much renovation and remodeling of older real estate along with new construction in older central neighborhoods.
-
Greenbrae/Kentfield Some say Greenbrea resembles Southern California. Expanded ranch style homes on nicely landscaped lots in subdivision like settings. Some spectacular views from up high You will find many condominiums, apartments and senior housing facilities that overlook the water on the creek side. Kentfield is in an upper middle class to wealthy community. These beautiful homes are generally set well back from the streets. And the streets meander among pine, redwood and manzanita trees.
-
Mill Valley Probably Marin's "hippest" town, although it takes hits for being quirky and a bit divided between the crunchy bohemians and the Hummer driving Yuppies. But you gotta love its small happenin' city charm. Nationally known musicians and comedians appear regularly at the town's funky theatre, music bars and cafes. You will find a wide variety of real estate from older established craftsman style homes in desirable Sycamore Park and Sunnyside neighborhoods, to the great remodels in Homestead Valley, to the breathtaking redwood and glass contemporary masterpieces looking down upon it all.
-
Sausalito is a favorite tourist destination, for its art galleries, restaurants, and boutiques lining Bridgeway, and for the beautiful and in some cases, funky homes that line the hills facing the bay as well as the harbor.
-
Tiburon is diversified as are the 12,000+residents. But no matter what the style is it all Classic Marin Luxury. There are small, ranch style family homes in the area known as Belveron, not far from Blackie’s Pasture.
-
San Anselmo People love the sense of community and the lively downtown loife in San Anselmo. Bigger than Larkspur, but with the same great small town spirit. This town was recently brought together after the devastating New Year's floods in '05. A great community spirit had prevailed, as shops and restaurants unified to create support for the devastated businesses. San Anselmo homes run the gammut, but feature more the Craftsman style expanded and remodeled cottage-like homes. You also will find some stately Victorians and craftsman style beauties. We have sold several properties in San Anselmo recently. One that is undergoing a major transformation and will soon be a $3m luxury family home just two blocks from the main street. Ross consists of many lovely older homes with beautifully manicured grounds. This tiny town is very high end, even the tiny cottages and average small bungalow along main road often sell for over $1 million.

San Rafael . San Rafael's housing is as diverse as its residents. A rich multi-cultural society You will find homes of every style and age. This is because this beautiful city was founded in 1874 by the Spanish Fransicans as a mission. Peacock Gap and Glenwood are other favorite areas, with many waterfront and golf course properties in a traditional subdivision layout.
